S.S. Lazio Rings the Nasdaq Closing Bell in Times Square: A Strategic Milestone at the Intersection of Sports, Media and Finance

S.S. Lazio marked a moment of significant symbolic and strategic importance as the club participated in the Nasdaq Closing Bell Ceremony in New York City’s iconic Times Square. The event places Lazio among the very few sports organizations worldwide to be invited to take part in such a prestigious moment at the world’s leading technology exchange — a testament to the club’s growing international projection and its positioning at the crossroads of sports, media, innovation and global finance.

The Nasdaq, a benchmark for financial and technological markets, has increasingly turned its attention toward the sports industry — a sector undergoing rapid transformation and characterized by strong asset growth. Within this evolving scenario, S.S. Lazio stands out as one of the first European clubs to establish a structured dialogue with such an advanced and international ecosystem.

Representing the club at the ceremony was not only Enrico Lotito, General Director of Lazio’s Youth Sector, but also La Sicilia: our publisher Salvatore Palella and Emanuele Floridi, Spokesperson and Head of Strategy and Organizational Communications for S.S. Lazio, as well as board member of the publishing company behind our newspaper.

"Being at Nasdaq today is a source of profound pride," said Enrico Lotito. "This moment is not merely symbolic; it marks a concrete step in a long-term growth trajectory that Lazio is pursuing with vision and responsibility, looking to the future of sport as an integrated system of development, innovation and international relations."

A Long-Term Global Strategy

Lazio’s presence on Wall Street signals the beginning of a structured and long-term journey aimed at strengthening the club’s international relationships and opening new avenues of collaboration in global markets.

The project is supported by top-tier advisors — Deloitte Legal and the international law firm Rosestandt, headquartered in New York — underscoring the club’s highly specialized, integrated and multidisciplinary approach to elevating the Lazio brand on the world stage.

"Ringing the Nasdaq bell means bringing Lazio into one of the world’s symbolic homes of innovation," added Emanuele Floridi. "It marks the beginning of a path that goes beyond football itself, showcasing a club that can engage with international finance, technology and media, enhancing its brand and its distribution vision at a time of profound transformation in global sport."

A Signal of Credibility and Strategic Vision

The Nasdaq Closing Bell ceremony represents not only a prestigious acknowledgment but also a tangible sign of S.S. Lazio’s credibility, organizational solidity and strategic foresight.

It positions the club as a global player capable of engaging with major international stakeholders while moving beyond the traditional boundaries of professional football.

In an era in which the sport has become profoundly globalized and increasingly financialized, S.S. Lazio is working to build a scalable and sustainable business model aligned with its international expansion — one grounded in governance, financial discipline and long-term planning.

This strategy blends innovation and access to global markets with the preservation of the club’s family-based identity and historical values — core elements of the Lazio brand and powerful differentiators within the global sports industry.

Statement by Enrico Lotito

"Madam President, dear Jordan, on behalf of S.S. Lazio I would like to sincerely thank you for the warm welcome and for the openness with which you have embraced our vision. It is an honor for our Club to be here today, and it represents a significant milestone in a journey we profoundly believe in."

"We extend our gratitude to Nasdaq President Adena Friedman for her leadership and for recognizing the increasingly central role of sport as a platform for innovation, culture and long-term value creation."

"I would also like to personally thank Jordan Saxe for believing in our idea from the very first discussion, and for the professionalism and enthusiasm with which he has supported us throughout this process. For S.S. Lazio, today’s moment goes far beyond symbolism. It marks the beginning of a concrete dialogue between sport, finance and innovation, grounded in shared values, responsibility and long-term vision.

"I also bring greetings from President Claudio Lotito, who remained in Rome due to institutional commitments related to his role as Senator, during the delicate phase of finalizing Italy’s 2026 Budget Law.
